WebJazz accepts virtually all types of video and audio files for encoding, including some of the most popular formats:

3. How do I get my files to and from WebJazz?

We accept files via FTP, rsync, and http upload. To expedite processing libraries of 100GB or more you can send us an external hard drive with a copy of your files.

4. How long does WebJazz need to encode videos?

Encoding time depends on the number of videos we encode and the length of each file. However, typically take the same number of minutes that they are in length, so that an 87-minute video will take 87 minutes to encode.

5. How much does WebJazz charge to encode files?

We charge $0.50/MB based on the size of the completed file. There is no charge for uploading and downloading your files to WebJazz. We offer volume discounts for large volumes - please contact us for a quote.

6. Is there a minimum and maximum number of files WebJazz will encode?

We will encode one video or tens of thousands. No project is too small or too large.

7. What is WebJazz’s backend infrastructure and how can WebJazz encode thousands of videos quickly?

Our encoding system is built on one of the largest cloud computing networks, which means we can scale up quickly and provide fast completion even on large projects.

8. Can I access the original media file after the file is encoded?

Yes, you can access original files from your account for 48 hours, and if you choose, we can provide extended storage of originals for encoding to additional formats. Please contact us for a quote on extended storage.

9. What do I do if I don't like the quality of the encoded media file?

If a file is encoded without video or sound, or is unplayable, contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and we’ll credit your account.

10. How many thumbnail images do you provide per video and when are they taken?

We take five thumbnail images spaced at equal intervals throughout the encoded video so you get a reasonable overview of the video.

1. What types of content do you deliver?

WebJazz delivers all file formats, although the network is optimized to deliver video and rich media content.

2. How large is WebJazz’s content delivery network?

WebJazz utilizes the largest global Tier 1 network in the world, extending into over 200 countries and territories. This network has dedicated nodes in North America, Europe, Asia, and India.

3. What is the performance of WebJazz’s network?

The network is designed to reduce routing and shorten transit times so video and audio files play instantly and without buffering.

4. How reliable is WebJazz’s network?

Content is replicated to all nodes on the network so your customers around the world can access your files without long transits, and at a high level of reliability.

5. How do I upload and manage content on WebJazz’s network?

When you sign up with WebJazz, we create an account and assign you a directory. We’ll provide you with a username and password for that directory and you can then upload and manage files via FTP, rsync, and http upload.

6. How much does WebJazz charge to deliver content?

WebJazz charges based on the actual amount of content we deliver and our rates lower as you deliver more content. Contact us for a free quote based on your needs.
